We are home

We had such an amazing trip. God is doing such an amazing work in Acuna and we absolutely loved being some small part of that work.

We had a couple long days of travel but our team were troupers and we are now all safe and sound at home. As great as it is to be home, it is sad that this trip is over.

We got on the bus 12 days ago as a team ready to work together and be used by God, today we got off the bus a family, changed by God and energized with our hearts set on fire. I love that we had the chance to do this.

Thanks so much for all your prayers.

coming home

It was a really long day today. We left Texas at 7 AM and pulled into Council Bluffs around 11:30 PM this evening. We will be having a shorter day tomorrow and should be in Altona between 7 and 8 PM.

What a great adventure this has been and God has done so many amazing things. The team is tired but in good Spirits and the travel has really been a lot of fun. Looking forward to being able to share everything with you guys.

I forgot to mention this in our post yesterday but we worked with a around 20 children in our children's ministry and about 30 or so older children and teens with our sports ministry.

The girls with our children's ministry did music, games, bible lessons, puppet shows and crafts with the kids. They did such an amazing job.

The sports ministry involved playing soccer, sharing testimonies and having intentional God conversations with these young men. It was incredible.

The sun was so hot, but did not slow down the team and I am so proud.

As promised just a couple pictures.

Update from Texas

There is so many things that I would like to say, but because we get to the hotels so late it is hard to update properly.

Our week in Mexico was great or maybe a better way to describe it would be incredible. I saw so much growth in all of our teammates and they all left part of their hearts in Mexico. Through our group we saw eight kids come to the Lord and many other people heard the gospel of Jesus for the first time.

I saw our team members share their testimonies, bear their hearts, be vulnerable and real and put themselves out there and this was all for the purpose of cross and sharing the incredible message that we have.

I saw our work team work so well together, being an incredible blessing to the local church and especially to our contact Pastor David who does an incredible ministry to the people of Acuna. They worked on the church, building a roof and pouring concrete. They helped Pastor David on his house because you could the outside from the inside and no this was not a skylight. They worked so well to together and I am so excited about what God has done through them.

Our team has bonded so well, we have each others backs and we have been getting along so well. I am so proud of all of them. God is awesome, there was obstacles to overcome but God always over came. I again, can't emphasize this enough -- God has done an incredible work in and through our team and I just can wait to share more of this in person.

check out the blog tomorrow evening, I will be posting some pictures. Thanks so much for your prayers and continue to pray for us as we travel home.
